Pain Management

Pain is a discomfort signal that tells you to pay attention. It lets you know if ‘something is wrong in the body’. Pain can be of a short duration of fewer than 3 months – Acute pain or long duration of more than 3 months – Chronic pain.

Acute pain is caused due to injury, trauma or immediate post-surgery and can be treated in many ways. Usually, this type of pain will decrease when the source is identified or likewise treated.

Chronic pain lasts for a longer duration in spite of regular treatment. IASP (International Association for Study of Pain) explains that chronic pain is not only a symptom but a Disease and must be treated accordingly which is why we have developed a pain management clinic for chronic pain under the guidance of Dr. Pragati Arora Trivedi.
